I haven’t given up blogging, I swear. Mostly I’ve been focusing on my JET application (see essay editing process above). I’m also working on a website (logo, business card and resume) redesign, as well as a more interesting way to post my monthly books (like reviews and maybe some graphics to get me doing more design work). So…as usual, I have a million things I want to do….but will I do any of them?
Stay tuned until…next post!
It seems like just a few months ago we moved into our apartment…oh wait, that’s because we did. But now we’ve gone and moved again! It’s been a hectic, stressful, emotional weekend, but we made it through, and I’ve managed to unpack quite a bit over the last couple of days. Artemis did her share of helping with the packing as well…
Unpacking all my books for the first time in months really made me feel at home, and we have since hung up all our artwork/posters again. I’ve added some little touches too…
I went to Freeport, Maine to celebrate Mum’s birthday with her. First time staying in a B&B and I really enjoyed it (though a hot tub would have made it perfect). Had a good time and took lots of random pictures. But first, a random picture of Tim sleeping. ^_^
I was feeling a little down this Monday, so rather than bust out the arts and crafts I just did a quick bit of writing. I wasn’t going to do anything at all, but inspiration struck and I knew I had to ignore my overwhelming desire to be lazy–that’s the whole point of having a ‘motivation monday!’ Today, however, my boyfriend and I found some motivation to finally rehang most of our artwork (after living at this new place for over 2 months).
Here are some random pictures:
Did a bit of papercraft yesterday and today.
It turned out to be more of a challenge than I anticipated, so I didn’t tackle both the projects that I wanted to. I focused on completing two letters from Digitprop’s awesome paper alphabet.
Putting together these little guys took a lot longer than I planned, so the whole alphabet may take me a while.
I also did a little nail art…
And my friend came over to work on her project as well.
I also managed to squeeze in some computer organization. I went through all the random pictures that I’ve found via the internet over the years and categorized them. I love being organized. :]
Here are the rest of the pictures I’ve decided to post:
The other night I found a lady bug scurrying along the windowsill and began photographing it. Artemis soon came over to investigate and began torturing the poor bug. She’s not the type to actually eat bugs–she just likes to bat them around.
P.S. This collage (and the instagram-style effects I sometimes use on photos) is courtesy of PicMonkey. It’s free, fun and a helluva lot easier than doing all this in Photoshop. ^_^ Check it out!
